On Friday 10th July we sang in a summer music concert with Headington Singers. It was very hot in the church but an appreciative audience of music lovers heard a range of summer songs, including the premier of a new piece of commissioned work, by Jenny Mahler. By contrast, Oxford Harmony provided a contemporary mix of songs by Freddie Mercury, through to the Beatles and Billy Joel. Added to this was our recent addition of a Leadbelly song, “bring me Little Water Sylvie” which seemed appropriate for the occasion. We look forward to more collaborations with HS in the near future.
