Oxford Harmony is a male a cappella (unaccompanied) chorus singing in four part harmony generally in the Barbershop style. The group formed in 2007 as registered charity 1141617.
Our members enjoy singing not only for their own pleasure but especially for “sing outs” where we show our enthusiasm and fun that we have for singing in four part harmony. We also enter a number of competitions to help us improve.
The accent at Oxford Harmony is on enthusiasm, friendliness and when necessary, competitiveness.
New members are always welcome. You do not have to read music, nor is there a formal audition. Each section (tenor, lead, baritone and bass) has a leader who will help as necessary and MP3 files are available for each song.
At the end of the evening some of us may be found at the Seacourt Bridge.
